Handyman in Muldersdrift

Working in Muldersdrift

Muldersdrift is home base for Ennos Projects. It is plot country: smallholdings on dirt roads, horses and chickens, a scatter of lodges and wedding venues, and the Cradle of Humankind just over the hill. Properties are big, so the job list is long and spread out. A sagging gate at the bottom of the drive, a lapa roof gone grey, a row of gum trees leaning over the fence.

Living on a plot can make the nearest help feel far away. Innocent lives and works in Muldersdrift, so a quick look at a job here is easy to arrange, and weekend bookings are normal. Summer storms roll hard across the open veld between October and March, and the cold, dry winters bring frost and fireplace season. Both leave their own kind of work behind.

Plots, farmhouses and lodges in Muldersdrift

Most of Muldersdrift is agricultural holdings, so a typical property has a main house, a cottage or two, outbuildings, a lapa and long boundary fences. Many houses were built in stages over the years, which shows in mismatched doors, tired skirtings and paint that has faded unevenly in the sun. Steel gates and farm-style fencing take a beating from wind and rust. Older stands carry tall gum and pine trees planted as windbreaks, and these grow into a risk over roofs and power lines.

Getting to you

No long drive here: Innocent is based in Muldersdrift, so most plots are a short trip down the local roads or along the N14. Because the plots are big, walk the property first and write down everything that needs doing, from the front gate to the lapa. Send that whole list in one WhatsApp and Innocent can plan the work in one visit.
