Alberton sits on the southern edge of Ekurhuleni, below Germiston and close to Johannesburg’s south. Much of it is suburban family housing, in large neighbourhoods such as Brackenhurst, Brackendowns and Mayberry Park. Up on the ridge, Meyersdal adds a group of security estates with larger, more recent homes.

Getting to Alberton

Alberton is south-east of Muldersdrift. The usual way is to drop south and head east along the N12, or to cut across Johannesburg’s southern suburbs.
